Book Review- “On A Summer Night” by Diane Dean White

What it’s about: “A nightmare witnessed between two young women, and one couldn’t forget or forgive. Kate had never told her husband about the experience that changed their lives forever in Southern Florida. Why had she kept this from him? Maybe is was time to tell him her story.”

Diane’s rich description of the sights and sounds of southern Florida made me feel as if I were there. I have lived in Florida and she captured the essence well with her words. Other places were visited in the story and I could almost picture the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Montana.

The way that Diana weaves the stories of the different characters together in a tapestry  makes the story complete. The characters have various difficulties they must deal with and Diane brings each person’s story thread to a satisfying conclusion by the end of the novel.

Overall this is a good read for a lazy, rainy afternoon, (Which is what I did yesterday)or any type of day.

Check out Diane’s Facebook page and her special book launch page: “Diane’s Twelve Days of Christmas”. She’s giving away prizes, just sayin’. 🙂 Her book is available online at places such as Amazon. Books make great Christmas gifts! Hint hint.

  1. I too read On a Summer Night. It is a very intriguing Novel, with a few twist in the plot I didn’t expect. Ms. White does a great job of making the reader feel like they’re right beside the character. I recommend this fantastic book
